Alia Abulgazieva (she/her)
I am a senior from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania pursuing a major in Chemistry and a Biochemistry concentration. At Haverford, I am a Chemistry Zazu and a member of the Supporting Women in STEM (SWIS) club! In my free time, I enjoy dancing, junk journaling and doing crafts, and painting!

Jana Bowler (she/her)
I am a senior from Salt Lake City, Utah pursuing a major in Chemistry, minor in Statistics, and a Biochemistry concentration. Outside of Haverford, I enjoy skiing, hiking with my dog and family, and playing the banjo and piano.

Armaan Khan (he/him)
I am a senior from Haddonfield, New Jersey majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and minoring in Health Studies. On campus, I am a member of the Muslim Students Association, Intramural Tennis, and a peer tutor for the OAR. In my free time, I enjoy reading, lifting and hanging out with friends.

Grace King (she/her)
I am a senior from Marblehead, Massachusetts pursuing a chemistry major and health studies minor. At Haverford, I play on the Bi-Co Sneetch ultimate frisbee team, am on the Students for Reproductive Health board, and peer tutor for the OAR. Outside of school, I enjoy spending lots of time outside, reading, and cooking with friends!

Poppy Chrisman (she/her)
I am a junior from San Francisco, CA, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Health Studies and Psychology. On campus, I run on the women’s cross country and track and field team and I’m part of Haverford’s Best Buddies chapter. In my free time, I enjoy reading, solving puzzles of any kind, and doing arts + crafts.

Yarra Ellett (she/her)
I am a junior from Bloomington, Indiana pursuing a major in Chemistry with a Biochemistry concentration. At Haverford, I am a founder of the Medical Ethics Collective, a Peer Mentor for Students for Reproductive Health, and a Chemistry Teaching Assistant. In my free time, I love dancing, drawing, spending time with family, and volunteering for Indiana University Health Hospice.

Daniel Farber (he/him)
I am a junior from Bethesda, Maryland, and I am pursuing a major in Chemistry, as well as two minors in Astronomy and Philosophy. On campus, I serve as one of the heads of fundraising for Partners in Health, an organization dedicated to global health, and as a leader of the Haverbee club (yes, that exists), as well as a member of the poetry club. Additionally, I am a tutor for Chemistry at the Office of Academic Resources (OAR). In my free time, I often walk with my friends, lift, read, or write poetry.

Carter Kroenke (he/him)
I am a junior from Portland, Oregon, and a Chemistry major. On campus, I am a member of the men’s soccer team and the Chemistry Student Group. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Chantelle Vongai Mawoneke (she/her)
I am a junior from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in Southern Africa majoring in chemistry with a biochemistry concentration. At Haverford, I work as a peer tutor for the OAR. I am also a member and soprano soloist in the Haverford-Bryn Mawr Chorale. Outside of academics, I enjoy writing songs while playing simple piano progressions and practicing archery.

Yuwei Lo
I also go by Melody, and I’m from Taipei, Taiwan. At Haverford, I’m part of the graduating class of 2028, while I plan on pursuing chemistry with a biochemistry concentration. Outside of academics, I appreciate aesthetic stuff like film cameras, vintage, and other handcrafts.

Anna-Lee Thompson (they/she)
I’m a research assistant in the lab with a background in synthetic chemistry and an interest in research at the intersection of chemistry and biology. I’m originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, and graduated from Smith College in 2025 with a degree in Chemistry. Outside of research, I enjoy reading, weightlifting, gardening, playing tennis, and board games.

Lou Charkoudian (she/her)
I have the greatest job in the world! I get to work alongside this amazing team of researchers and teach courses related to chemistry and biochemistry. I’m passionate about the chemistry-biology interface, collaborations, and undergraduate education. Outside work, I enjoy building forts and having living room dance parties with my family, staying active outside, and connecting with friends.
